Rover range update: the new Escape, Renogy power and practical touring upgrades

We've added a new model to the Rover range. The Escape is the build-your-own Rover: the essentials are included, and you choose the rest. Every model includes an integrated Renogy power system, and a double awning setup can create near-360-degree coverage at camp.

The new Rover Escape: build your own
The Escape is for buyers who'd rather choose their own gear than pay for a fixed inclusions list.
It starts at $49,990 with only the essentials included: queen inner-spring mattress with gas-assisted side doors, stainless kitchen bench, 150L water tank, and Renogy power with a 120Ah lithium battery and 100W roof solar.
The rest is up to you. Add a fridge, cooker, awnings, hot water or the change room, or leave items off and fit gear you already own.
The Escape rides on the On-Road hot-dipped galvanised steel chassis, built for sealed roads and maintained gravel roads. It is not an off-road model. If you're heading further, add the Rover XT off-road chassis and suspension package, or step into the Intrepid or Ultra, which include it as standard.
Renogy power across the range
Every model includes an integrated Renogy power system.
The Escape and Intrepid include:
- Renogy One Core, mounted in the cabin
- 12-switch panel in the kitchen
- 120Ah lithium battery
- 50A DC charger and 35A AC charger
- 100W roof solar
That's enough to keep the fridge and lights going day after day in decent sun.
The Ultra includes the full setup:
- Renogy One Core, mounted in the cabin
- 7-inch Renogy One Vision touchscreen at the rear
- 50A DC-DC charger and MPPT solar controller
- Renogy Pro 2000W inverter charger with 80A AC charging
- 300Ah lithium battery, with a 600Ah upgrade available
- 220W portable solar panels
On every model, the One Core sits inside the cabin, so you can check charge, solar input and draw from bed. A software update coming soon will add control as well, with the ability to switch lighting, fans, the air conditioner and the inverter from the cabin.
The same Renogy integrated power system upgrade is available on the Intrepid.
Practical touring upgrades
We've also added the DO35 hitch, ARK XO 750 jockey wheel and stabiliser upgrade, included as standard on the Intrepid and Ultra and available as an option on the Escape. The stone guard is also standard on the Ultra.
We continue to refine and improve the Rover, and the recent focus has been on longer stays at camp. The Intrepid and Ultra include the passenger-side Darche 180 awning, and a driver-side 180 awning is available on every model for shelter on both sides of the camper. Each takes a couple of minutes to set up. The kitchen wall and roof kit neatly ties the two awnings together, creating near-360-degree coverage around the camper, and it also works with the passenger-side awning on its own. The kit is included with the Ultra and available on the Intrepid, and on the Escape when a 180 awning is added.
The Stockman driver-side enclosed change room attaches to the driver-side 180 awning, creating a fully enclosed, weatherproof room beside the camper with covered access to the side door. There's more detail in the change room announcement.
